had a new pair done and they are awful. The left skate is ok, use able but my right skate is a complete mess. My heel won’t sit in the skate correctly and feels very sloppy. I had issues with volume on the right skate as well and they redid the boot. IMO the scan process is flawed. My VH are still better than any true skate I’ve had

I’m so disappointed with the skate. My traced VHs I actually liked.

For Preferred fit what does each mean?

Same. My Custom VH's from the second year of production are the best skates I own. I don't even use my custom True's. They don't fit remotely custom. My recommendation is to include all the additional info as attachments to a custom order aside from scans. Foot trace, specific foot volume and width considerations. Sad part is I bought the customs when I worked at a pro shop so I made sure the scan was done multiple times and correctly. 

When i did my new trues, I had them use my old data and see what changed with the scan.  So if the Trues are the same as the VH, you'd expect them to fit the same and that is simply not the case.  My VH are spot on and still feel amazing.  The trues feel bigger and are not as custom.  The VH hug my foot a lot better.  

How many times did you bake the Trues? I have tf9s for over 3 years now. I have probably baked them a dozen times at this point, they fit amazing, no issues. They aren't custom at all and they fit as good as can be expected. I'm surprised to hear that customs are giving people issues

My right skate in my svh trues is very sloppy. Also they are to long.

CCM does have custom skate program, however, its omly opened to certain stores I believe... I dont think reinforced eyelets or double stitching was an option

Didn’t the LS II holders have five cutouts? Also, it looks like there is some kind of release mechanism at the back of the holder. Bauer already releasing a new holder?

I called CCM directly, and the answer was that for now you can’t have the XF with the 652 graphics in custom. It’s only a limited edition….for now...

Out of curiosity, what does 652 boot cut look like on a pair of modern CCM skates? I recently got a pair of pro stock ASV pro, and the boot cut doesn't look like the retail boots at all, but looks kinda similar to the 652 skates you showed in the screenshot, so I wonder if I've got a pair with the "652 boot cut"?

 

CCM has not been doing a good job promoting their custom skate program. It almost feels like they're gonna discontinue it. I was at a big retail store earlier this year, trying to place an order for FT6 custom plus (this would be my second order at this store). The staff told me the CCM reps didn't even provide them any updates on the custom skate program, so they were not able to do it at all.

It’s the classic style of how skates used to wrap the foot. Think 552 and 652 tacks from the 90s. I guess people forget how skates used to be and how they used to fit

He wore PPF, at that time Eagle regularly misbranded their own gloves, such as Hull and Fedoro with angled 4 rolls marked CP94, and Avery with standard 4 rolls marked PPF. I had Zherdev's Rangers Eagles and they were definitely PPF build with a shortened cuff

I've had the worst experience with the Trues recently. They didn’t fit, were too big, and didn’t feel as good as a previous pair of True Skates or VH Footwear skates I’ve had in the past. I’m back to square one, and nothing on the market seems to fit. I’m running out of options. The last thing I want to do is settle for something I'm unhappy with, and while I don’t want to hang up the skates for good, it’s starting to feel like that might be the only choice.

I’m not looking for responses like "True Skates worked for me," as that doesn’t really help me right now. Should I visit another store for a new scan and more measurements?

Any suggestions?

If you had customs made, email them and they’ll make it right. I had issues with my SVH customs when I got mine and the retailer rescanned me and sent me a new pair that fit.

They already sent me a new boot. I probably need to be rescanned
