Shoeshine, you’re dead on. Anyone with sense would know most of the folks there have businesses or disposable income to where $10K is nothing to worry about. Dishmaster, hate to advise you of this, but no matter how high you played (minus the NHL, safe to assume you didn’t) or how good you think you are...when you play shinny or men’s league like all of us do, you’re just a part of the bender group as well. It’s just some benders have more money than other to play in nicer settings with NHL legends. In addition, people don’t go to these things for lights out hockey, they go for memories created that will most likely knock out any other hockey memory you’ve ever had.
I wouldn’t call myself a part of your so called bender group at all... Benders are literally guys that can’t skate... which if you look at the pictures from this camp, there’s plenty of dust to go around there. I’m not chirping them for it, we all love the game. I’m chirping the fact that I would never pay 10k if it was some bs slow games with bad players who have money. Yes I can afford to go and do it, that’s not the issue. My whole thing is that it’s not worth it for the price you pay. Maybe if there were two separate camps, one with at least a good skill level and one for the guys with too much disposable income who just want to sit by Mario on the bench. Not knocking them at all, but like I said earlier, my issue is with the price you pay for a glorified E division weekend tournament. I do see how you could write it off if it is infact a charitable donation or whatever, sure. But ya, not for me
